Patientenorganisationen spielen eine tragende Rolle bei der Unterstützung und Information von Menschen im Umgang mit ihren Erkrankungen. Mit diesen Institutionen teilen wir das gemeinsame Ziel, einen Beitrag zur Lebensqualität von Patienten zu leisten. Die Merck KGaA und ihre globale Sparte Merck Serono fördern daher diese wichtige Arbeit in Form von Geld- und Sachspenden, Fördermitteln sowie Schirmherrschaften.
Oberstes Gebot bei diesen Zuwendungen ist stets Neutralität, Transparenz und Offenheit. Mit der Unterstützung von Merck Serono ist keine Beeinflussung der Informationen, die diese Organisationen an Patienten oder die Öffentlichkeit weitergeben, verbunden. Um die Transparenz jederzeit sicherzustellen, veröffentlichen Merck und die Sparte Merck Serono seit 2008 alle Zuwendungen, die wir Patientenorganisationen in Europa zukommen lassen.
